Pin Mapping Screen
This screen allows configuration of the XJLink pins to match the circuit board under test and the setup of any Test Reset Sequence which must be applied to the circuit before XJTAG can commence testing. Dynamic chains can also be configured. The screen contains the Chain Debugger for tracking down faults in the JTAG chain.
The screen has three tabs:
- The
Pin Mapping tab can be used to configure the XJLink connector pins. - The
Test Reset Sequence tab is for setting up Test Reset Sequences. - The
Advanced Configuration Options tab allows you to configure dynamic chains and additional settings for the project.
The bottom half of the screen displays the JTAG Chain Debugger.
The toolbar at the top of the screen contains the following:
- The
Save As... button for saving a copy of the pin mapping to a different file. - The
Reset button for reverting to the pin mapping in the pack file. - The
Load button for loading an existing pin mapping file (e.g. from a different project). - The
Load Preset button for selecting one of the pre-defined pin mappings.
The Pin Mapping menu contains the following options:
- View JTAG Data - enable viewing JTAG data in the JTAG Chain Debugger.
- Disable AutoSkew - disable JTAG Chain Debugger auto skew.
If the current project contains variants then a variant selection box is located at the top of the screen. The chain debugger will run in the currently selected variant.
