Toolbar Features

The toolbar has several buttons which allow quick access to some common operations. You can hover the mouse pointer over a button to display what the button does.

Items are displayed greyed-out if the action is unavailable, so for example the Save button is greyed out if project has not been edited since it was last saved.

  • New Project - creates a new project.
  • Open Project - opens an existing project, first closing any currently open project.
  • Save Project - saves changes to the project.
  • Undo Last Project Action - undoes the last change in the project.
  • Redo Last Project Action - reapplies the last undone change in the project.
  • Separate Screen - separates the current screen.
  • Show Explorer - opens Explorer.
  • Show Layout Viewer - opens the Layout Viewer.
  • Show Schematic Viewer - opens the Schematic Viewer.

Pin Mapping screen options

This option is available from the Pin Mapping screen.

  • Variant selector - only available if the current project contains Variants - the Chain Debugger will be run using the selected variant.

Debug Connection Test screen options

These options are available from the Debug Connection Test screen.

  • Variant selector - only available if the current project contains Variants - the test on this screen is performed in the selected variant, using the selected profile.
  • Profile selector - only available if the current project uses the Dynamic Chains feature - the test on this screen is performed using the selected profile.

Run Tests screen options

These options are available from the Run Tests screen.

  • Export Test Output - exports the test output to a .xjlog file, which can be opened using the Log File Viewer.
  • Print Test Output - prints the test output.
  • Variant selector - only available if the current project contains Variants - the tests will be run using the selected variant.

By default, the toolbar is shown alongside the menus, but it can also be configured to appear underneath the row of menus using the "Combine menus and tool bar on a single line" option in the Interface Options.
