Variants Screen

This screen is used for the creation and editing of variants.

Variants allow multiple versions of a circuit and the test list to be included in a single XJDeveloper project. When running tests, debugging the chain, or debugging a broken chain from connection test, the required variant may be selected from the variant selection box in the main toolbar. This feature is available in XJDeveloper, XJRunner and XJInvestigator.

This screen is split into three sections:

• Variants - Lists the current variants. Selecting a variant updates the rest of the screen to reflect the selection.
• Variant Details - Displays details for the currently selected variant. The selected profiles and current variations may be edited in this section.
• Variant Errors and Warnings - Displays the errors and warnings for the currently selected variant.

When creating a new variant, providing updated BOM information is recommended. This will allow the Suggest Variations Wizard to provide suitable variation suggestions where BOM data differences exist between the root project and the variant.
