Suggested Categorisation Wizard
This dialog contains all of the features of the Suggested categorisation dialog, however rather than generating suggestions based upon a selection of devices, this dialog presents suggestions for all accessible devices within the project. These suggestions are split across 9 stages:
- Unfitted Devices - will suggest Unfitted devices based on the Suggested Unfitted Devices category.
- Ferrite beads, fuses, inductors and low value resistors - will suggest devices that are often seen as connection on Power/Ground nets. This step will repeat if more suggestions are found after categorisations are made.
- Series Resistors - will suggest any series resistors using the same mechanism as for the Resistor Categories. Categorising these first is important for making sure we find all of the JTAG accessible devices. This step will repeat if more suggestions are found due to the increased access from the resistor categorisation.
- Pull Resistors - will suggest pull resistors using the same mechanism as for the Resistor Categories.
- Logic Devices - will suggest any Logic devices from the suggested devices category.
- Test Devices - will suggest any Test devices from the suggested devices category
- Ignored Devices - will suggest any ignored capacitors as Ignored.
- Remaining Passive Devices - handle any other passive device suggestions.
- Final Check - A final check of any other remaining accessible devices that have not be previously suggested.
Any definitions or configurations that still require the user to make a selection are highlighted. The devices can be sorted by column by clicking on the Reference, Assign As and Assign column headers.
Any suggestions that are set to Assign will be applied to the project when moving to the the next step.
