XJDeveloper User Interface

The XJDeveloper user interface is designed to be intuitive and simple to use, whilst allowing access to advanced features and giving you complete control of the testing done on your board.

Main toolbar

Main screen content

List of screens

Assistant pane

Helper panes

The main XJDeveloper window consists of the selected screen content and a list of the available screens on the left side to provide a simple way of navigating to the features XJDeveloper has to offer.

The main toolbar at the top of the window allows for quick access to frequently used tools such as Explorer, Schematic Viewer, and (if the netlist is ODB++ format) Layout Viewer windows. This toolbar can also be used to Undo or Redo project actions and separate certain screens (using the Separate Screen button) into their own window, so they remain visible whilst working on another screen. Additional toolbar items may appear that are relevant to the currently selected screen.

At the bottom of the window is the Assistant pane and also a set of Helper panes to track the state and progress of your project setup. These include showing the current errors, warnings and uncategorised devices in your project.

Various parts of the user interface can be resized, docked, collapsed or hidden to accomodate for small monitor sizes and increase efficiency of workflow.

A full tutorial has been provided, explaining how to use XJDeveloper to set up tests for the XJDemo board supplied with the system. Other help can be found using the help for each of the main XJDeveloper screens.
