Testing with XJTAG and Seica

Significant test coverage benefits can be achieved when an XJTAG project is configured to have extended test access through use of a Seica Flying Probe tester.

The XJTAG Connection Test and non-JTAG device tests will automatically make use the flying probe hardware to drive and sense digital values in areas a board that are not accessible through boundary scan.

Typically Seica's Viva software will run a python script at some point during its testing procedure, which will in turn use XJIntegration to use XJRunner functionality. While it does this, XJTAG is given access to the flying probes and can set their locations as well as drive or read voltages via the probes. XJTAG reports a pass or fail result back to Seica via the python script.

It is also possible to pause Seica's testing and then use XJDeveloper to both run and debug boundary scan tests which use the flying probes at that point, then return control to Seica to complete testing.
