Original XJLink

The XJLink was XJTAG's first-generation USB-connected JTAG controller.

The original XJLink is no longer supported in the latest version of XJTAG. The last version of XJTAG which can use this device as a JTAG controller is the XJTAG 3.13 release series.

If you have an original XJLink it can no longer be used with XJTAG's software products from version 4.0.0 onwards. However the XJLink Manager will still recognise its licences, meaning that any licence it holds can still be used if you plug the original XJLink into the same PC as another (supported) model of JTAG controller.

For example, if you have an XJDeveloper licence in your original XJLink, you can use that licence to run XJDeveloper on a PC where an XJLink2 with just an auxiliary licence is present.

To do this, you will need to ensure that the PC has a driver for the original XJLink. This can be downloaded from the XJTAG website.

Migrating to XJLink2

Most projects can easily be converted to run using an XJLink2. More help can be found here.

Upgrading hardware from an XJLink to an XJLink2 is also possible - please contact XJTAG for more details.
