XJLink Test
The XJLink Manager includes a set of tests for the XJLink2, XJLink-PF20 and XJLink-PF40 to verify that the unit is functioning correctly.
Please remove any hardware attached to the XJLink before running the tests.

Some of the tests require input from you, for example, to verify that the LEDs work or to press the button on the XJLink2.
If any of the tests fail, please contact XJTAG support. The Save and Send buttons allow the generated report to be saved as a HTML file or sent to XJTAG Support.
Loop back test
The Loop Back Cable Fitted checkbox enables a test that requires a loopback connector to be attached to the XJLink. If you have an XJLink2 or PXI-XJLink2 controller, a loopback connector may have been supplied with it:

If a loopback connector was not supplied, or if it has been lost, one can be made fairly easily; its pin-out is as follows:
Connect | |
---|---|
1 | 11 |
2 | 12 |
3 | 13 |
4 | 14 |
5 | 15 |
6 | 16 |
7 | 17 |
8 | 18 |
9 | 19 |
10 | 20 |
If you have an XJLink-PF series controller, use the supplied 20-way ribbon cables to create as many of the following connections as are relevant:
Connect | |
---|---|
Connector A to Connector B | |
Connector C to Connector D |
Advanced Settings
The Enable Advanced Settings checkbox displays all the tests that will be run and allows a subset to be selected.
