Opening Projects

Problem: I get the message "Failed to count the number of devices - check that the XJLink is correctly connected."

Solution

  • Check that the board is attached to the XJLink and powered.
  • Check that the project opened belongs to the board that is currently connected to the XJLink.
  • If this fails, consult the general troubleshooting guide.

Problem: Errors were found when trying to load constant pins, pin writes or watch pins from the project file.

Solution

This means that it is likely that:

  • Check that the project opened belongs to the board that is currently connected to the XJLink.
  • The pin/s that could not be found belong to a device that is currently in BYPASS. You can continue with the project file but any operations that were carried out on pins that belong to devices that are in bypass mode will not be able to be carried out.

Problem: I get the error "One or more BSDL files found in the project file were not present in the library."

Solution

  • The BSDL files may have been deleted from the library or moved to a different location. In this case, simply re-add the BSDL files and select them, or select the BSDL files in their new location.
