Check Chain

Click the Check Chain button to check that the current pin mapping, test reset sequence and frequency are correct, and the JTAG chain is intact. If running Chain Debugger inside XJDeveloper, it will also check that the ID codes returned match the ID codes in the project. For more information on the check chain output, see Using the Chain Debugger.

If check chain succeeds, it proceeds to check the total length of the instruction register and then the length of the boundary scan register for each device in the chain.

The Check Chain button also has a drop-down which has two sub-options: Signal Integrity... and Scan ID Codes.
