Toolbar Features

• - launches the Project Setup Window, allowing you to start a new project or open an existing one.
• - allows you to open a previously created project file.
• - saves the current project configuration, prompting if necessary for a filename and location.
• - displays the Pin Watch, which displays the current values for any listed pins.
• - displays the Pin List, which gives a complete per device listing of all device pins as obtained from the supplied BSDL file and displays their properties and current state.
• - displays the Waveform View, which gives an alternative graphical representation of the pins in the JTAG chain.
• - starts running JTAG chain scans continuously.
• - performs one JTAG chain scan.
• - resets all pin states to initial values. Next time the chain is run, any Test Reset sequence will be re-applied before the chain starts.
• Profile - choose the current profile from the drop-down list. This control is only visible with XJDeveloper projects that use the Dynamic Chains feature. It is disabled while the chain is running.
• Variant - choose the current project variant from the drop-down list. This control is only visible with XJDeveloper projects that use the Variants feature. The selected profile may change if that profile is not available in the selected variant. Pin Watch items that are not present in the selected variant are not shown in the Pin Watch window, but will reappear when switching back to a variant that they are present in.
• Go to - allows you to quickly and easily find a device or pin in the Chain View. Use the Netlist Search Box to select a device or a pin. Once a selection has been made, that device or pin will be highlighted in the active Chain View. If the device or pin is not in view, or the zoom level is too great to show the element, the scroll position and zoom level will be adjusted to show the element in full.
• Zoom level - shows the current zoom level. Other options can be selected using the dropdown list, or a number (between 40 and 1000) can be typed directly into the box to set the zoom level.
• - zoom in on the current chain view.
• - zoom out on the current chain view.
• View: - changes the colouring of the pins in the current chain view window to show one of six properties. The pin colours are described under colours options.
