Errors at startup
There are a number of errors that can be reported immediately after attempting to start running XJEase code:
Failed to start testing. Failed to start debuggee process: The compiled XJEase executable may have been prevented from loading by antivirus software. If the error persists please contact XJTAG support.
Failed to start testing. Error initialising runtime: Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:\Users\jbloggs\AppData\Local\XJTAG\Compilation\yrakc00s.31b\xjease_XJDemo4.dll' or one of its dependencies. The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070020)
Anti-virus software or other security systems can sometimes erroneously identify the compiled XJEase code as a virus, or can temporarily lock the file preventing it from being loaded.
If these issues persist, then it should be possible to whitelist the folder where XJTAG places the compiled XJEase code. The folder is named XJTAG\Compilation inside the user's local application data folder. For example, if the username is jbloggs then the folder would typically be C:\Users\jbloggs\AppData\Local\XJTAG\Compilation.
The process of whitelisting a specific folder will depend on the AV system in use.
