Profile
A profile is defined as a collection of Subchains used by tests after setting up Dynamic Chains.
The order of the subchains defines which order the Subchain Reset Sequences will be called. This may be important if, for example, one must be called first to power up the rest of the board.
One subchain may be chosen from each TAP group and there is no limit on External Hardware only subchains.
Communication is checked with each External Hardware machine at the start of the first test that includes it in a profile. If more than one External Hardware is included in a single profile the order of this communication check is not defined, it is not related to the order of the test resets. Communication with External Hardware is only terminated at the end of the test run and not when the profile is changed.
Profiles are configured in the Advanced Configuration Options tab, found on the Pin Mapping screen.
