Conflicting pins – How XJAnalyser deals with conflicting pins
Conflicts are reported when the value XJAnalyser writes to a pin is different from the value that is read.
- Set the value of pin 22 on Device 1 to High.
- Press the button SW1 on the XJDemo board, creating a conflict.
This causes a dialog box to be displayed:

The dialog shows three options you can select to configure the operation of XJAnalyser.
It also lets you choose from the following three actions:
- Set Default State – This will set all the pins back to their default state, with all possible pins being set as inputs. This option will stop the conflict occurring in your circuit.
- Continue – This will keep writing the conflicting value to the pin, causing a conflict on the net to which the pin is attached.
- Stop – This will stop scanning the JTAG chain after resetting the conflicting pin to a non-conflicting value.
At the moment we will leave the configuration of XJAnalyser unchanged.
- Leave the options in the Conflicts dialog unselected.
- Click Continue to allow XJAnalyser to proceed.
