Categorising Unfitted Devices
Some devices may appear in more than one suggested category. For example, an unfitted capacitor could be suggested as both Ignored and Unfitted. It is therefore recommended to start the categorisation process by categorising unfitted devices to avoid the risk of miscategorising them.
Devices that are not assembled to the board can be removed from the test coverage statistics to avoid them negatively affecting the results. To do this, all unfitted devices should be assigned to the Unfitted category even if they can't be accessed by JTAG. When categorising these devices, it is therefore suggested the tick is temporarily removed from the Only Show Accessible Devices checkbox at the top of the Uncategorised Devices panel:

- Once categorising unfitted devices is complete, the tick should be replaced in the Only Show Accessible Devices box as it is only necessary to categorise accessible devices for the rest of the categorisation process.
- The accuracy and extent of XJDeveloper's suggestions for unfitted devices is affected by the completeness of the BOM data and how well the unfitted rules were defined on the Boards screen. It is recommended that users refer to the guidance on Unfitted Suggestion Rules.
