Technical Support

The XJTAG website contains many resources to solve common problems.

If your question is not already answered there, then support can be obtained by sending a support request using our built in support request dialog, or by contacting us via our website.

Recording problems to send to XJTAG

Often an issue may only be reproducible on your particular piece of hardware. To assist the XJTAG support team in investigating this, XJTAG contains a feature that allows all JTAG accesses to be recorded to a file. We can then reproduce and investigate the problem without having your hardware.

  • If you are using XJRunner, to facilitate sending the data to us, the XJRunner Recorder utility is installed. This invokes XJRunner with the appropriate arguments to record the relevant data, and then packs all the source files into an XJPack file.
  • If you are using XJDeveloper we usually ask that you export the project as an XJPack file, then proceed as for XJRunner users.
  • For XJAnalyser the process of recording data to send us is documented in the XJAnalyser help files.

The created file can then be sent to XJTAG support.

N.B. The XJPack file created with XJRunner Recorder contains data from the main files for that project: the XJEase source files, the BSDL files and the netlist.
