Switching Between Explorer and Viewers

It is easy to jump between Explorer, Layout Viewer, and Schematic Viewer via a right mouse click. For example, in the layout viewer, right-click on a net, device, or pin and select either Explorer or Show in Schematic Viewer from the context menu. This will leave the Layout Viewer visible and open Explorer or the Schematic Viewer in another window.

This allows you to always use the most appropriate method for visualising different information.

• It is not possible to jump from Schematic Viewer to Explorer or Layout Viewer. This is because the text for a device's reference designator in a PDF file is not associated with a particular device but is simply an independent text block. XJDeveloper therefore cannot know which device is being selected when you click on a component in the schematic.
