Switching Between Explorer and Viewers

It is easy to jump between Explorer, Layout Viewer, and Schematic Viewer via a right mouse click or via the Follow Selection feature. For example, in the Layout Viewer, right-click on a net, device, or pin and select either Explorer or Show in Schematic Viewer from the context menu. This will leave the Layout Viewer visible and open Explorer or the Schematic Viewer in another window.

This allows you to always use the most appropriate method for visualising different information.

Alternatively, within Explorer, and select screens in XJDeveloper, you can use the Follow Selection feature by enabling the toggle buttons (Follow Selection in:  Layout Viewer or  Schematic Viewer), which will peform these selections within the appropriate viewer(s) automatically as you select different nets, devices or pins.

• It is not possible to accurately jump from Schematic Viewer to Explorer or Layout Viewer. This is because the text for a device's reference designator in a PDF file is not associated with a particular device or net but is simply an independent text block. XJDeveloper cannot be completely certain which device or net is being selected when you click on / highlight the text of a component in the schematic.
