Learn Connections

The Learn Connections tool greatly speeds up the setup of a manual board by automatically discovering the connections between JTAG devices. It does this by driving values on one device, and watching which values are seen on the other JTAG devices.

There may be some nets on your board which, if driven, will cause the JTAG chain to break. Should this occur, the learn connections tool will pop up an error message stating which was the last pin it drove. In this case, you should set the pin as a constant pin, and re-run the tool

When you click Apply, all the selected connections are immediately written out to the netlist. If you only wish to apply some of the discovered connections, deselect the "apply" box for connections that you do not wish to apply to the netlist.
