Test Point Suggestion Report
This report lists the circuit nets along with their test coverage. XJDeveloper evaluates the nets and suggests adding test points to nets for which the coverage is not so good. You can obtain results for the whole circuit or only for certain boards which you can specify on the first page of the Test Point Suggestion wizard.
How XJDeveloper suggests adding test points on nets
Nets that have accessible (non-BGA) pins do effectively already have a test point. Exceptions to this (devices which cannot be probed) can be added as you work through the Test Point Suggestion wizard. It might not be possible to probe a device due to lack of physical access or if the leads to the device are too fine-pitched, for example.
If a net is entirely BGA, a test point is not needed if the net has three or more JTAG input/output pins. A test point can be added if the net has two JTAG input/output pins. Adding a test point is of higher priority if the net has one JTAG input/output pin and there is opens coverage from the device file, and of even higher priority if there is no opens coverage from the device file. Finally, a test point is needed if the net goes from the TDO of one device to the TDI of the next device.
